Woke on Sunday 6th to set off round the inshore passage of Portland Bill and thence across Lime Bay to Dartmouth, to found ourselves shrouded in fog. The forecast was for it to clear so we carried on as if we were going to leave on time. Fortunately by our planned 0730 departure it had cleared enough to set sail.

A misty start in Portland Harbour
We motored down to Portland Bill and went through a slightly bumpy inshore passage, before setting course to motor sail to Dartmouth. Although it was mostly sunny we did have a couple of fog patches so we got some practice using the radar, including avoiding a yacht on a reciprocal course. An otherwise uneventful passage was made interesting by a pod of about twelve dolphins playing around the boat for ten minutes.
We arrived in Dartmouth at 1645 and rafted up against Ocean Strider on the walk ashore pontoon in the town.
