Outboard Woes

Neil O'Connor

We discovered that the impeller had overheated and destroyed itself. We managed to order an impeller repair kit to pick up at the Chandlery in Darthaven Marina so it was back to Dartmouth on Thursday 10th.

The impeller replaced it was then detective work stripping down, cleaning and rebuilding the outboard until it ran as good as new - after six hours effort.

Thanks to Jon for fixing the outboard. My contribution was handing him the tools.
