On Monday 28th June we left in the evening with Tigermoon II to anchor in St Helen's Pool between Tresco and St Martin's. We weren't keen on the anchorage with the prevailing wind direction so we moved to Old Grimsby Sound where we met up with Falken. The three of us each picked up buoys with other boats anchored between us and the Tresco shoreline.

Moored in Old Grimsby Sound
What seemed like a calm spot to be got rough in the early hours of the morning when the tide turned against the wind. We were bounced around in bed somewhat uncomfortably when there was a load bang ... one of the anchored yachts had hit us. I stayed an deck for an hour or so keeping an eye on things as the anchored boats swung all over the place. The boat that hit us moved on to a mooring. Fortunately there was no damage done but it was a rude awakening.
We spent three nights on the moorings in Old Grimsby exploring Tresco and the gardens there.
